Tracey Nguyen, DDS, FAGD, AAACD, D.ABDSM
As a scientific advisor for the renowned Kois Center, Dr. Nguyen is at the forefront of dental education in airway management, sleep-disordered breathing, TMJ/TMD treatment, and function-first smile design.
She combines her extensive expertise to create smiles that not only look beautiful but also enhance breathing, comfort, and overall health. Dr. Nguyen has completed over 2,100 hours of continuing education, far exceeding the requirement for general practitioners.

Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Nguyen received her Doctor of Dental Surgery, Magna cum laude, from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. She is trained in all phases of implant dentistry and has received extensive training in cosmetic dentistry.
In 2015, she was accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen is an AACD Accredited Member, one of a select few dentists in Virginia to earn the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s rigorous peer-reviewed credential. Her extensive cosmetic training allows her to improve smiles and self-confidence through conservative esthetic dental techniques.
Airway & Sleep Medicine
Dr. Nguyen lectures on dentistry’s role in treating patients with dental malocclusions comorbid with airway and sleep issues. Screening for airway issues starts at birth and should be managed throughout life. She has extensive knowledge in the treatment and co-management of this disease through various dental interventions like oral appliances, skeletal expansion and orthodontics, and surgery.
In 2016, she founded the Sleep and Airway Group, a local interdisciplinary group of doctors of various specialties focused on comprehensive sleep and airway care for the entire family.
In 2020, she co-founded ASAP (Airway, Sleep and Pediatric Pathway), an online mini-residency for pediatric dental sleep medicine. It is no secret that she has an exceptional breadth of knowledge of Pediatric Airway Management.
In 2024, she achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, widely recognized as the gold standard for excellence in dental sleep medicine.
Teaching & Leadership
In June of 2016, Dr. Nguyen graduated from the Kois Center Advancing Dentistry Through Science. She completed a comprehensive 9-course curriculum to further her education, skills, and knowledge of aesthetic, occlusion, and restorative dentistry as well as the latest research and innovative protocols.
In 2021, she was honored as the Scientific Advisor for the prestigious Kois Center. She speaks all over the world and is in the Seattle Study Club curriculum, reaching over 150 study clubs worldwide.
She is also a manuscript and review editor for the Academy of General Dentistry and a visiting faculty mentor at Spear Education, where she frequently mentors the Airway Workshop.
Nguyen Education & Mentorship Center
Dr. Nguyen founded the Nguyen Education & Mentorship Center to give dentists the hands-on guidance she wished existed when she was building her own airway and expansion practice. Every protocol, every appliance decision, and every treatment sequence taught through the center was developed on real patients in a real clinical environment.

Virtual case review sessions for doctors who need expert guidance on a specific patient. Ideal for pediatric airway, MARPE candidacy, skeletal expansion planning, and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
First Case Success (Guided Implementation)
For doctors ready to implement expansion in their practice with direct guidance through their first case, including treatment planning, live monitoring, and either clinical observation or in-office side-by-side delivery support.
Clinical Implementation Mentorship
Ongoing over-the-shoulder mentorship for doctors building case volume. Case selection, treatment planning, active monitoring, and direct access to Dr. Nguyen on an ongoing basis.
Live Courses
Full-day hands-on courses covering three clinical tracks: pediatric airway development, intentional aligner therapy, and adult longevity dentistry. Each course is taught by Dr. Nguyen and her clinical team.
